PROTECTING GARDEN POSTS
Follow these steps for protecting garden posts against wood rot. For example, the posts used for fences, pergolas and swings.
Determine the part of the garden post that is going to be under the ground and add a couple of extra centimetres. This is the part that has to be treated.
Sand the part of the surface to be treated with a scouring pad or sandpaper. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dust and grease.
Allow the treated posts to completely dry. Rubber Seal is dust-free dry after approximately 3 hours. After 48 hours, it is fully cured, depending on the amount applied and ambient circumstances.
Place the posts in the ground so that the top of the treated section remains a few centimetres above ground level.
