Step-by-step plan
Step 1
Cleaning: Make the surface clean and dust-free.
Step 2
Saw the fascia to size.
Saw fascias to the same length for the best results.
Step 3
Paint the sawn edges with an undercoat.
This prevents wood rot caused by moisture penetration.
Step 4
Thoroughly clean the fascias with a lint-free cloth and household ammonia.
Step 5
Mounting the fascias: Apply lines and dots of Poly Max® on the framework.
Apply the dots to prevent trapping moisture and therefore wood rot.
Step 6
Place the fascia within 10 minutes, press firmly and provide support if needed.
When positioning, remember that the facias can expand.
The fascias are ready to seal after 30 minutes.
Step 7
Seal the fascias: Work from the top with the slanting side of the nozzle pointing downwards.
If necessary, use a new nozzle for the correct diameter.
Step 8
Immerse the Bison Multi Tool in soapy water.
Use a plant sprayer to moisten longer sections of sealant.
Smooth off the sealant seam within 10 minutes using the Multi Tool.
Use the Bison Multi Tool with the concave side up so that the excess sealant is collected.
Step 9
Admire the result!
