How can I seal neatly?

A FEW USEFUL TIPS FOR A CLEAN SEALANT EDGE.

Cutting at a slant

Cut open the top of the cartridge with the Silicone Multi Tool .

If you are going to seal an expansion joint, cut the nozzle straight .

If you want to seal a bath or kitchen unit, cut the nozzle at a 20º angle with an opening of 6 to 7 mm so that you can fill each joint cleanly. If you cut the nozzle at a bigger angle, the sealant tends to curl upwards.

Non-hollow

Negative concave (hollow) joints are used, for example, on tiled floors. All horizontal joints should be made flat and tight at 45º so there is hardly any room for standing water.

It is recommended not to hollow off sealants. Their elasticity and tensile strength then decrease. In addition, all kinds of dirt can remain in a hollow seam.
